In his body of work, titled "Fades Away", Taher once more seamlessly bridges the separate realms of visual art and the written word. In this collection, the artist set out to explore the verses of poetry by renowned poet Wadie Saadeh. It is the age-old unison of music and lyrics, using bold vivid colours to create an emotional symphony of art, words and meaning. |

احببت النحت لأنه الوسيط الأقرب لروحي، والذي اعبر به عن أفكاري ونفسي.. بالنسبة للطين افضل إستخدامه؛ لأنه خامة من الطبيعة مستخلصه من الأرض، ولفظ تيراكوتا هو لفظ أصله في اللغة اللاتينية، ومعناه قطعة من الأرض، فأنا أميل إلى استخدام المواد والخامات المستخرجة من الطبيعة؛ لأني مؤمنة بالتواصل وإرتباط الإنسان بالطبيعة.ة
I am influenced by ancient civilizations where particular colors, symbols and techniques were used, like the sgraffito technique which includes scratching clay.
وهو الكشط على الطين.ن“Sgraffito” وأنا أيضا متأثرة بالحضارات القديمة سواء المصرية أو غيرها، وخصوصاً الألوان والرموز أوالتقنيات المستخدمة مثل تقنية
I expressed my personal connection to nature and earth through a collection of self portraits, where I try to visualize myself in different civilizations or another primitive world. Maybe I created my collection because I feel that I am an old soul that was present for a long time and maybe because I always get deja vus or feel I have been to places I have never visited before. I try to imagine myself in another world other than the reality I am living everyday and create my own world.
عبرت عن إرتباطي الشخصي بالطبيعة وعلاقتها بالطين، من خلال عمل مجموعة من البورتريهات أحاول أن أصور فيها نفسي لو كنت في حضارة سابقة أو عالم بدائي آخر؛ ربما لأني أشعر أن روحي قديمه وموجودة من زمن، وأشعر أحيانا في لحظات بتكرار لحظات أني مررت بها من قبل، أو اذهب لمكان ما و أشعر أنى رأيته من قبل..أحاول أن أتخيل نفسي في عالم آخر غير العالم الواقعي الذي أعيشه كل يوم واكون عالم خاص بي أنا.ا
