Ahmed Hamdy combines simplicity and gallantry in his experience which remains to be the most important part of his process.

Against that classical conceptual background (the two poles) comes the expressive experience of the young artist Ahmed Hamdy, to present through it that visual treatment of living elements both individuals and animals. A more precise meaning to the two ends of that equation of life is male and female, and what these two poles present through a direct causation in the continuum of creation, and granting the worldly space that spirit and manifestation of life.

أحمد حمدى … و … ( قطبي الحياة ) على تلك الخلفية الكلاسيكية تأتى التجربة التعبيرية للفنان الشاب / أحمد حمدي ، ليطرح من خلالها تلك المعالجة التشكيلية لعناصره الحية من شخوص وحيوانات ، وبمعنى أدق لطرفى تلك المعادلة الحية من ذكر وأنثى ، وما لهذان القطبان من سببية مباشرة فى إستمرار المخلوقات ، ومنح الحيز الدنيوى تلك الروح ومظاهر الحياة

Through that sobering and striking pillar that pertains to the deep issues of existence and creation, Ahmed Hamdy knocks upon the doors of the world of visual arts. Ahmed’s clamor comes at times through his drawings and rebellious lines against the stereotypes of the image, and at other times through breaking the stereotypical principles of design. Ahmed brings his clamor through color, in which we see spontaneity, audacity, and directness in bringing bright and joyful shades of color that reflect his emotion by the act of painting and drawing in itself. We cannot overlook the surreal touch in most of his paintings which may appear on the surface devoid of logic, but certainly expresses his point of view and partly reflects what lies in imagination.

وعلى تلك الركيزة الرصينة والضاربة في عمق الوجود الخاص بالمخلوقين يطرق / أحمد حمدى بصخب أبواب عالم التشكيل ، ويأتى صخبه تارة من خلال رسومه وخطوطها المتمردة على نمطية الصورة ، والتى يلحقها أيضا بخروجات على نمطية أسس التصميم ، وتارةً أخرى على مستوى اللون والذى نلمس فيه تلك العفوية والجرأة والمباشرة فى جلب درجات لونية ذات زهاء وبهجة تعكس انفعاله بفعل التصوير والرسم فى حد ذاته ، ولا نستطيع أن نغفل تلك المسحة السيريالية والتى لا تخلو منها غالبية لوحاته من توظيفات قد تبدو فى ظاهرها خارج سياقات المنطق ولكنها بالتأكيد معبرة عن وجهة نظره وعاكسة لجانب مما يكمن فى جوانب خياله

The surrealist streak in Ahmed’s work is strongly influenced by the tendency of the ancient Egyptian artist to employ surrealism in visual treatments of art, which clearly reflects his intentionality in imparting an attribute or highlighting a concept on the figure in his artwork. Ahmed Hamdy combines simplicity and gallantry in his experience which remains to be the most important part of his process. His visual treatment of drawing and design is directly applied and adopts flatness as a way to highlight the topic of the work; one can sense through this visual treatment Ahmed’s apparent diligence and his relentless attempts to develop his art and reach a distinct style and concept in general. He seeks distinction of color where his work promises the advent of a good colorist with the ability to develop his color approaches, whether on the color axis itself or on the topic of the technical handling of artwork surface treatments in general.

، تلك المسحة والتى أجدها شديدة التأثر بنزعة الفنان المصرى القديم فى معالجاته التشكيلية ذات النزعة السيريالية الموظفة والمقصودة ، والتى تعكس بصورة جلية قصديته فى إسبال صفة أو إبراز مفهوم على عناصره الحية . ويبقى الأهم فى تلك الخطوة من تجربة / أحمد حمدى ، وهو ذلك المزيج الجامع بين البساطة و الجرأة ، سواء فى المعالجة الخاصة بحلول الرسم والتصميم والتى تأتى بنوع من المباشرة والبعيدة عن المواربة وتعتمد التسطيح كوسيلة لإبراز موضوع العمل ، تلك المعالجة التى أتلمس من خلالها اجتهاده الواضح ومحاولاته الحثيثة فى تطويرها و الوصول إلى معالجات مميزة له ولأطروحاته البصرية سواء بشكل عام ، أو على مستوى اللون والذى يأتى مبشرا بقدوم ملون جيد ذو قابلية لتطوير تناولاته اللونية سواء على المحور اللونى فى حد ذاته ، أو على المحور الخاص بالتناول التقني ومعالجات السطح بشكل عام
