Sameh Bakr

Sameh Bakr is a celebrated Egyptian sculptor who has made significant contributions to the Egyptian art scene through his unwavering dedication, and inspirational teachings. Born in Fayoum on August 23rd, 1976, Sameh's love for sculpting was evident from an early age, and he pursued his passion with remarkable determination.

In 1997, Sameh earned a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts with honors, specializing in Sculpture, from the Faculty of Education, Department of Art Education. Following his graduation, he embarked on a teaching career, inspiring young minds and nurturing the artistic talents of his students. For over 15 years, Sameh dedicated himself to promoting art and creativity, and in 2012, he was appointed as a supervisor for the Art Education curriculum at the Ministry of Education, where he continues to drive the development and advancement of art education in Egypt.

Sameh's exceptional talent and unique artistic style have earned him numerous accolades throughout his illustrious career. He has participated in several prestigious exhibitions, including the Salon Al-Shabab, Small Pieces Salon, the Agenda Exhibition at the Alexandria Library, Layali Al-Sharq Salon at the Pharaonic Village, and several others. His superb sculptures are coveted art pieces, displayed in both public and private collections within Egypt and abroad, including the Modern Art Museum, and cherished by art enthusiasts worldwide.

His outstanding contributions to the art world have garnered him several awards and certificates of appreciation, including an award from the sculptor Omar Touson at Fayoum's First Fine Arts Salon in 2017, a certificate of appreciation from the Cabinet of Ministers in 2003, certificates of appreciation from the Directorate of Education in Fayoum in 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017, a certificate of appreciation from the Ministry of Education, Art Education Advisor Office in 2014, a certificate of appreciation from the Ministry of Culture, General Authority for Cultural Palaces, Greater Cairo, and Upper Egypt Region in 2017, and a certificate of appreciation from the Alexandria Library for his participation in the Agenda Exhibition in 2019.
