Painter Omar Abdel Zaher is famous for his humorous and often romantic portrayals of Egyptian women in particular. His subjects are usually dreamy and serene, as if caught in a love trance. Zaher also often paints courting couples in casinos and wandering freely in the countryside
Born in 1966, Zaher obtained a specialization in graphics and has a PhD in Fine Arts. His work is part of a permanent exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art and is part of the collection of the Cultural Development Fund in Cairo.
