Mostafa Abo Aly draws his inspiration from his love for street scenes. He likes to capture the mood, ambiance, and aesthetics of a given scene and attends to even the smallest of details as he recreates these realities. According to Mostafa, choosing watercolors as the medium for his paintings encourages spontaneity and allows for mistakes and imperfections. In this imperfection there is honesty, integrity, and passion as the art flows from the heart instead of being directed by the mind.
Born in 1991, Aly graduated with a degree in architecture from the Faculty Engineering of Minufya University in 2013. He also studied art history at Atelier Magd El-Sagini in 2017. He participated in international exhibitions like the Biennale Belgrade (Serbia) for Watercolour 2016 and the Biennale Albania for Watercolour 2017.
