Maged Messarra is an Egyptian consultant architect, graduated 1970 from Cairo University with a Master degree in urban design from Poland, 1973. Some of his projects include the Covered Sports Complex in Cairo, Egypt; known to be the biggest covered sports hall in the Middle East which was nominated for the Agha Khan Award. Other projects include, the Integrated Care Society by Suzanne Mubarak and Marriott hotel in Sharm El Sheikh. In 1990, he was awarded the State Award for Art & Architecture, as well as the Best Project Award for Governmental Sports Centers in service of Youth & Sports activities. He also recently received a certificate of appreciation from the International Society of Architects for his excellent contribution to architecture for life-long achievements. Since a very early age, Maged developed a passion for painting and further pursued his it along the years, focusing on nature, realism and abstract art.
