Using brilliant colour conveyed through abstract facets that dance across each composition, Hisham Abdel Aziz Khalil revives the Abstract Expressionist tradition with captivating detail. Loosely referential to elements of the modern world, Khalil’s paintings also take on a timeless quality as they allow the viewer to become enveloped in the vibrant warmth.
Born in the southern Egyptian city of Minya in 1976, Hisham Abdel Aziz Khalil holds a BA, MA, and PhD in art from Minya University. He is a member of the Fine Arts Syndicate, and currently a lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Minya University. His paintings have been exhibited at several art institutions across Egypt, including the Cairo Opera House, Assiout University, South Valley and Minya Universities. Khalil has also held several solo exhibitions at his respective faculty in 2011, 2015 and 2016. His paintings are part of permanent collections in many public institutions in Egypt.
