Painter and printmaker Aida Khalil experiments with the blurring of contours and the blending of colours to create striking works of art. The ethereal nature of the forms she creates recalls the vanishing fragments of fading photography, thereby creating in the viewer of her work a sense of evanescence or transience.
Born in Cairo, Khalil initially pursued a university degree in science before pursuing a career and education in art. Her paintings have been showcased in many group and solo exhibitions in Cairo. She has also participated in several international art workshops in Cairo, Alexandria, Nairobi, and India.
