Born in Egypt in 1995, Ahmed Lesi graduated with a Bachelor degree in Information Systems in 2018. He pursued his passion for art independently and participated in Youth Salons in Cairo in 2014 and 2015 consecutively. He also participated in the Mohamed Abla Painting Award in 2014 and 2016, as well as in various group exhibitions and two solo exhibitions to date.
Lesi's work is a humorous commentary on everyday life and popular culture using collage, photomontage, painting and drawing. He continuously emphasizes visuals and compositions that have become so familiar and circulated daily on social media in an attempt to highlight the blurred line between the sense of community and hyper individualism.
