TAM.Gallery has the pleasure of inviting you to the opening reception of the group show “Daydreaming”, an exhibition dedicated to digital prints and photography, which will kickstart on Tuesday, 5th of October, 2021 at 6 PM at our main exhibition hall in Abu Rawwash.
We all daydream, don’t we? We either go where we desperately need to be, or to a place we really fear. We replay our most intense memories, our most precious moments, we dream of the words we could have said, the things we can do, the people we can be and the life we hope to be living.
In "Daydreaming” artists tapped into their imagination and into the unknown; they wandered in a limitless field where you and them together are the authors and nothing is impossible. You know no boundaries of physics or logic, just the lucid flow of your imagination.
Now sky's the limit, right? We create storyboards of so many parallel realities: We dread the silence so we start hearing music. We’re alone in our room, so we call on your imaginary companions. We mutilate and we beautify, we explore our strength, fragility, and vulnerability. We invoke contentment, hilarity, tears, and all those emotions we didn't even know we've been pining to release. And while it’s happening there’s no sequence in time and reality becomes so mellow and moldable; we sculpt it to our own convenience, and we even sometimes induce it to get ourselves out of that comfort zone that’s limiting us. We lose track of time, and become our very own story-tellers.
Join us on Tuesday, the 5th of October at Tam Gallery in Abu Rawwash from 6 pm to discover this impeccable collection, which will be on display until the 23rd of October, 2021.
يسعد تام جاليري دعوتكم لحضور افتتاح المعرض الجماعي "أحلام اليقظة"، وهو معرض خاص بالأعمال الفنية المنتجة من خلال الوسائط الرقمية والتصوير الفوتوغرافي، والذي سيقام يوم الثلاثاء، الموافق الخامس من أكتوبر الحالي 2021 في تمام الساعة السادسة مساءاً، بالمقر الرئيسي في أبو الرواش.
نستغرق جميعا في أحلام اليقظة ، نذهب حيث نريد الذهاب بشدة أو إلى أكثر الأماكن التي نخشاها، نعيش ذكرياتنا المختلفة مجددا، الحالكة منها والسعيدة.
نحلم بالأشياء التي كنا نتمنى قولها والأفعال التي كان بإمكاننا فعلها، شخوصنا التي كان من الممكن أن تكون والحياة التى نأمل في عيشها..
في معرض أحلام اليقظة يستغرق الفنانون في مخيلاتهم وفي المجهول، يتجولون في عالم بلا حدود يتحكم فيه كلا من الجمهور والفنان في آن واحد حيث لا يوجد مستحيل، عالم بلا حدود خالي من أي قوانين فيزيائية أو أي منطق!
نخلق عوالم موازية حيث السماء هي الحد، نخشى الصمت فنسمع الموسيقى، نجلس وحيدين بغرفة ما فندعو رفقاء خياليين، نغير ونجمل ونكتشف من خلال رحلتنا مشاعرنا بشكل لم نختبره من قبل، نستحضر القناعة، المرح، الدموع وكل تلك المشاعر التي لم نكن نعرف أننا نتوق لإطلاقه.
وأثناء حلم اليقظة لا يوجد تسلسل واضح للأحداث، يصبح الواقع رقيق جدا وسهل التشكيل والتغيير، نشكله كيفما أردنا، نحث أنفسنا على الخروج خارج الدوائر الآمنة والمريحة التي طالما قيدتنا وحددت آفاقنا، نفقد الشعور بالوقت ونصبح المتحكمين في سير قصتنا.
