From quotations of ancient Egyptian wall paintings to strikingly atmospheric views of modern Egyptian life, Dr. Taher Abdel Azeem’s art offers an incredible array of motifs and subjects. Uniting this diverse approach, though, is Dr. Azeem’s powerful use of colour as a means of illuminating each work.
Dr. Azeem holds a PhD in Fine Arts from the Faculty of Fine Arts' Department of Decorations (2001). He has worked as a professor since 2013 within the Faculty of Fine Arts of Helwan University. He has held several art exhibitions locally and abroad, including an exhibition of large mural paintings, showing scenes from the life of Prophet Mohammed. He has supervised and evaluated several university dissertations. He is the recipient of several major national and international competition awards in art and design, written several research papers, and participated in local and international workshops.
