Visual artist Samar Hussein has developed a body of work that spans the media of painting, installation and interdisciplinary approaches. She attempts to explore notions of gender identity, migration, as well as the relationship between wealth and power.
Born in 1987, Hussein holds a BFA from the Painting Department at Alexandria University and works as a Senior Art Instructor at Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah. She has participated in solo and group exhibitions in Egypt as well as abroad.
