Digital artist Nour El Zayat studied at Virginia Commonwealth University where she earned a bachelor’s degree interior design. She started her career as a digital artist, making customized works and working on branding campaigns for small businesses where she developed her fondness for graphical and typographical design. She has developed an eye for cultural, traditional, and social elements of Egypt that she incorporates in her work.
Zayat is also an expat, living in Qatar. She gathers inspiration and broadens her artistic horizon from her frequent trips back to Egypt. However, she has always felt that her work belongs to her homeland, and creates pieces that would pay tribute to our world in Egypt.
Those who love vintage imagery, surreal collages, and homages to cultural elements would be great admirers of the works of Nour El Zayat. An interior designer turned digital artist who never shied away from searching deeper into the realm of design and always pushes the boundaries of social issues in satirical ways. Nour is more than just a designer, she is an activist, who advocates many artists around her.
