Mohamed Mekawwy, born in Cairo in 1958 , is a Professor of Expressive Arts at the Faculty of Fine Arts .He was a member of the jury for many art sectors, including the Department of Decoration in 2003, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts July 2008, Arts Sector Committee 2008, State Incentive Award for Arts 2009 (the Supreme Council of Culture) , State Encouragement Award for Theater 2010 (the Supreme Council of Culture), and Judging competitions and various advisory committees . He participated in many public exhibitions including, General Exhibition of the Arts Complex 1993-1994-1995, National Exhibition at the Palace of Arts 2000-2001,Sketches exhibition (2000) "Drop Hall", and Representing Egypt in the Civilizations Exhibition in Kmfuegura, Germany 1996 . He also joined many private exhibitions , including Light and Shadows in the Faculty of Fine Arts in 2003, Colorful Dialogues in the main hall of the Faculty of Fine Arts, 2006, Villages and the Nile, Mahmoud Mokhtar Center 2011. He received the Grand Prize in the competition (Sinai Peace and Development in oil painting in 1999 and the second prize in the competition (Egypt present and future in decorative photography in 2000
