Joseph El Duwairy (Cairo, b.1977) is a graduate of the Faculty of Art Education, 2000 and is a member of the Syndicate of Plastic Arts in Egypt. Stemming from his belief that simplicity is the spirit of sincere art, his work tends to bring all elements to the foreground while still showing depth, perspective and dimension; a style that he has refined throughout the years until he eventually adopted his own unique aesthetic. This aesthetic can be described as a fusion of geometric representation of inanimate objects, paired with details of people in dynamic movements that reflect their character.
Duwairy has participated in more than 10 exhibitions in both galleries and museums between 1998 and 2020 including a much noted participation in the 7th Beijing International Art Biennale in China, 2017 and TAM.Gallery's "Artists of Tomorrow" group exhibition in 2018.
