Heba Amin is an Egyptian visual artist. Growing up, she was frequently accompanied by her parents to visit museums all over the world and developed a fascination with art. Having lived in many countries, such as Russia, Germany, Nigeria and Brazil during her childhood and youth, she was inspired by the different natures and cultures of these places. Today she is more drawn to abstraction and continues to seek inspiration from nature and her travels. Her paintings are heavy on landscape, still life, portraits and the female figure, which is her main interest. Heba received her Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication from the American University in Cairo in 1988. Upon graduation, she started her free studies in painting and drawing, and in 2000 she participated in her first group show; the Fourth Annual Salon of Small Artworks and received the Salon prize. In 2012, she founded an art gallery and studio space holding exhibitions and classes in many artistic fields. She held two solo exhibitions and several group exhibitions in Egypt and abroad. She also participated in several art workshops in Egypt, Greece and Albania.
