SOLOS IN PARALLEL:
Edition 2

Oct 05 - Oct 25

TAM.Gallery is eager to present our next  “Solos in Parallel: Shades of a Petal”, dedicated to the works of Deena Fadel and Mohamed Rabei, opening Friday October 5th from 6-9pm.

Both artists were featured in our previous  “Artists of Tomorrow” shows, and have been favorited by art collectors since. In their latest body of work, the artists walk us through their world of botanical imagination; inspired by the power of nature, both painters have channeled their energy, thoughts and focus to portray their plantasies.

Born and raised in the UK, Deena Fadel is a fine artist and designer who finds joy in expressing herself through mixed media. Fadel’s artwork has been featured in several national and international exhibitions, including shows in Egypt, UK, Qatar and Turkey, among others. She currently lives in Egypt, which has filled her with endless inspiration as she captures the Egyptian essence and life through her fast, rigid lines combined with the beauty of different fabrics. Irony, beauty, conflict and energy are the elements that make up Fadel’s ethereal paintings.

Mohamed Rabie was born in Minya. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cairo’s painting department and is a member of the Fine Artists Association and the General Federation of Arab Archaeologists. In 2011, he won an incentive award from the University of Helwan, followed by a full-time grant from the Ministry of Culture.  Rabie’s artwork is deeply rooted in his hometown’s  identity; it is a layered blend of various Egyptian traditions and settings, translated into a contemporary visual through his vibrant palette and tactile line-work.

Join us for the opening reception on October 5th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at TAM.Gallery. Exhibition continues until October 25, 2018.
