We are delighted to invite you to join us at the opening of “Seasons in Chroma”, a solo Exhibition by the iconic Abdel Wahab Abdel Mohsen, taking place at TAM.Gallery - Abu Rawwash this Saturday 16 September, starting 6:00 PM to 10 PM.

Born in Kafr El Sheikh in 1951, Abdel Wahab Abdel Mohsen graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Alexandria in 1976 and went on to pursue a prolific career in visual arts. Today he is considered to be an icon of the Egyptian visual arts scene. His work has been extensively exhibited in prestigious international galleries at locales around the world – among them Switzerland, France, Italy, Norway, Turkey, Poland, Yugoslavia, Spain, and Japan.

“There is a language that only Abdel Wahab Abdel Mohsen masters when he listens carefully - not only to the visible vocabulary of nature - but also to the more significant act of listening to the invisible. This hidden aspect behind forms with varying components continues to exert its influence. Thus, Lake Burullus was not meant to present a fleeting image passing through indifferent eyes. يسعدنا دعوتكم لحضور افتتاح المعرض الفردي “مواسم اللون” للفنان المبدع عبد الوهاب عبد المحسن، والذي يقام في فرع تام جاليري بأبو رواش يوم السبت ١٦ سبتمبر، ابتداءً من الساعة ٦ إلى ١٠ مساءً.

ولد عبد الوهاب عبد المحسن في كفر الشيخ عام ١٩٥١، وتخرج في كلية الفنون الجميلة بالإسكندرية عام ١٩٧٦ وواصل مسيرته المهنية في الفنون البصرية. ويعتبر اليوم رمزًا لمشهد الفنون البصرية المصري. تم عرض أعماله على نطاق واسع في المعارض الدولية المرموقة في أماكن حول العالم - من بينها سويسرا وفرنسا وإيطاليا والنرويج وتركيا وبولندا ويوغوسلافيا وإسبانيا واليابان.

“ثمة لغة يتقنها عبد الوهاب عبد المحسن وحده، عندما ينصت جيداً، ليس لمفردات الطبيعة المرئية، وإنما في الحيز الأهم إنصات اللامرئي، هذا المتواري خلف أشكال يتباين مكونها ولم ينقطع تأثيرها. من ذلك أن بحيرة البرلس، لم تكن لتُودْع صورة عابرة تمر بأعين غير فضولية، وكأنما بها تقيس المسافات بين هؤلاء، على طريقتها. عنيت أن سطح المياه في إغرائه كان ذكي عندما حاصر هذا الفنان وقبض على وجدانه.” - مقتطف من مقال د. مصطفى عيسى. فنان وباحث في جماليات الفن المعاصر.
