On Friday, November 24th, The Arts Mart Gallery held its first Orchestra In Art event, “A Night of Musicals”.

Arts Mart Gallery is pleased to announce the gallery’s first Orchestra In Art event, A Night of Musicals. A special event that brings together visual and performance art to create a captivating artistic and cultural experience where a full orchestra performs international and local selections of live music accompanied by a specially curated exhibition of Egyptian contemporary art. A Night of Musicals opens at Arts Mart on Friday 24th of November.

For the first time, conductor Nader Abassi and the international award-winning Soloists Fatma Said and Gala El Hadidi will come together for A Night of Musicals, bringing you highlights of the best musicals such as The Phantom of the Opera, West Side Story, Cats, Les Miserables, to name a few.

Through this event, we aim to create a meaningful interaction between the audience and the arts as well as raise awareness about local artists across both the performing and visual arts platforms. A Night of Musicals will strengthen the community by sharing valuable and memorable experiences with the arts as well as spread a much-needed message of love, joy, understanding, and unity, through the arts.

“Fades Away”, A Solo Exhibition by Walid Taher
In his body of work, titled "Fades Away", Taher once more seamlessly bridges the separate realms of visual art and the written word. In this collection, the artist set out to explore the verses of poetry by renowned poet Wadie Saadeh. It is the age-old unison of music and lyrics, using bold vivid colours to create an emotional symphony of art, words and meaning.
