Sabry's intense and vigorous paintings take the viewer on a journey that is colorful, layered, textural, and full of discoveries. Like topographic maps full of enigmatic meanings, the mind of the viewer of her art is tasked with both interpreting and exploring each composition. While dense details and symbols like stars and scarabs situate us somewhere in Egypt, Sabry keeps her audience guessing, offering roads, deserts, and waters that all converge on chaotic originality.
Born and raised in Alexandria, Sabry studied painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts and also studied contemporary art at MASS ALEXANDRIA. Today she works between Cairo and Alexandria.
