Abstract strokes and explosions of mixed media dynamism combine in the work of Shereen El Baroudy to delight the eye. Her subjects, often drawn from nature and from moments of psychological introspection, come to life on the surface of her art with striking energy.
A graduate of the Faculty of Arts Education in 2003, El Baroudy also holds an MA in Painting and Drawing from the same institution and is currently pursuing a doctorate in the same specialization. El Baroudy has represented Egypt in several local and international festivals and exhibitions, including France, Austria, Belgium, Finland, Cyprus, Turkey, Italy, Ireland, Slovakia, Libya, and Saudi Arabia. She is a three-time recipient of the Youth Salon Award and has also won the Port Said Biennale in 2011, the Second Southern Egypt Luxor Award in 2014, and the First Salon of Alexandria's Terracina Gallery in 2015. Her work is among the permanent collections of Suez Canal Museum, The contemporary art Museum in Cairo, The Book Museum in Romania and the National Museum in Addis Ababa.
