Rana Hemdan is an Egyptian multidisiplinary artist, born in 1996 and graduated from the Faculty of Engineering Alexandria University in 2021. She is an architect, self-taught artist, graphic designer, illustrator, designer, sculptor and a TEDx speaker.
She has worked as a graphic designer with several well established enterprises on their social media campaigns. However, painting has always been her passion and calling. She has participated in different group exhibitions over the years and has sold hundreds of artwork alongside her artwork in several newspapers.
Rana has always seen painting as her calling and passion. She has participated in several different group exhibitions throughout her artistic career and has had her work acquired by collectors all around the world. Rana has been actively involved in offering art workshops throughout her career. She has also attracted media attention and was featured alongside her artwork in several newspapers, magazines and tv interviews during the past few years including el Gomhoreya Newspaper, 'No Name Collective Art Magazine' in London and 'MBC Masr'.
Rana’s current collection is dedicated to being present and finding beauty in the mundane. It is a process to get to know one’s self and discover the way one’s home city, friendships and family shapes our lives. It's a deeply personal collection about truly experiencing youth, begging for it to stay for a minute longer, and every color in between. The artist considers herself lucky enough to experience this variety of emotions.
