Omar Senada is an independent visual artist, curator and cultural program coordinator at the Museum of Fine Arts of Alexandria, Egypt. He studied painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Alexandria and trained as a teaching assistant at the same university. He finished his independent studies at MASS Alexandria for contemporary art in 2016. He had finished training at MADRASSA (Regional program of residencies, meetings and training in contemporary curatorial practices) and collaborated with L’Atelier de l’Observatoire (Art and Research) Casablanca, Morocco 2017. As of 2020, Senada holds an MA in Fine Arts. He organized many exhibitions, concerts and activities including an exhibit of Hussein Sobhy collectibles and a seminar; a retrospective of Bakry Mohammed Bakry and others.
In his artistic practice, Omar Senada is particularly interested in prehistoric art techniques and how they can be used in contemporary works to question our preconceived notions of beauty, ugliness and reality, He participated in a lot of Exhibitions in Egypt and outside Egypt like Youth Salon 2013, Collective Madrassa in Denmark 2016, Exhibition at fine art lovers organizations and a lot of other Exhibitions and He won a lot of prizes like Zeyad beker prize in the youth salon 2013, and CIB prize 2013, 1st prize at Fine Arts Lovers organization and other prizes and He has a lot of collectibles in Egypt and outside Egypt.
