Nahla Reda is a contemporary visual artist born in Cairo capital in 1986. She studied art in the faculty of Fine Art in Minya University. She complimented her practice with complimentary independent studies during her travels to nurture a creative imagination. She started her career with a solo exhibition at Cairo Atelier in 2008. She Participated in a number of group exhibitions and workshops in Egypt ,Saudi Arabia , UAE, Macedonia and Switzerland.
Nahla received prizes and grants from the Ministry of culture and the embassy of Switzerland. Nahla’s inspiration was influenced by the hustle of the crowded city of Cairo. She was inspired by the city noise, weather, street art, people, old buildings and different real life scenes from the capital city. Nahla’s work is signified by her unique use of mixed media and different techniques and details. She utilizes snippets of newspapers and magazines in her paintings to create harmonious collage in her paintings.
