Born in Cairo in 1995, Nada El Shorbagy holds a Bachelor degree in Arts from the Mass communication department of Ain Shams university (2017).
Upon getting her degree in mass communication and working for short periods of times in different fields related to the media, El Shorbagy decided to turn her focus to photography. Through her lens, she wanted to capture events that she lived and noticed in her daily life. From there on, she kept on practicing and teaching herself photography, which is quite apparent if you glance through her work. From spontaneous snaps to planned projects that shed light on specific themes or ideas, Nada's worked evolved throughout the past 4 years.
"I wholeheartedly believe that photography is as important as any other form of art. Additionally, I am a follower of the school of romanticism that focuses more on the emotional, imaginative, and inspirational side of art. Therefore, In my own work, a person might find that I am trying to combine different elements such as: beauty, rules, and measures, while at the same time allowing myself to experience the freedom and breadth that a camera lens allows me."
Being part of an active roster of upcoming artists, is allowing EL Shorbagy the chance to spend more time in the street and be around other important artists and exhibitions, learning more and experiencing a lot. Nada also works in commercial photography, and has recently participated in various projects and exhibitions around Cairo.
