Visual artist Nada Baraka creates a collage-like feel in her dynamic paintings. Pairing bold colors with dashes of pattern and texture, Baraka invigorates these senses by pulling forth forms that lie somewhere between the known and the unknowable.
Born in 1990, Baraka holds a BA in both Communication Media Art and Fine Art from the American University in Cairo. She also earned her MA degree in Fine Arts from Central Saint Martins in London. Baraka exhibited her work in several local exhibitions, including Cairo Art Fair hosted by TAM.Gallery, and the Youth Salon at the Cairo Opera House. Her art has also been showcased in several group exhibitions abroad in London, Paris, and Lisbon, as well as in an online exhibition in Louisiana, in the USA (Artebella). In 2015, she won first prize in Mohamad Abla's painting competition.
