Mohamed El Damarawy explores traditional themes in very creative and colorful ways. His characters are typical Egyptians, and abounding around them are clear references to the art and depictions of the country’s antiquity that prove to be eternal inspirations for him. His wonderful compositions and brilliant use of color guarantee this artist a place among the upcoming generation of Egyptian greats.
Born in Beheira in 1981, El Damarawy graduated from Luxor University’s Faculty of Fine Arts in 2003 and held his first exhibition in 2005. He has since gone onto exhibit in several solo and group exhibitions around Egypt.
