Egyptian visual artist Mahmoud El Dewehy has established a career defined by ongoing innovation. Unfettered by the strictures of visual conventions, El Dewehy instead embraces the creative process, and his works are all the more vibrant because of it.
Born in Aswan in 1978, Mahmoud pursued his art career as a sculptor and beginning his participation in The 16th Youth Salon in 2004. His art has been exhibited around Cairo, and he received three first-place awards in The Youth Salon for Sculpture works.
