Hossam Zaki is an Alexandrian sculptor born in 1994 . He is currently a teaching assistant in the Sculpture Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts where he graduated. His art collection varies in medium to include terracotta, bronze and fibreglass.
Hoossam Zaki’s Body of work is a manifestation of the convergence of his imagination and his fascination with the art of the Etruscan civilization of ancient Italy. Zaki was also intrigued by the nature and posture of humans in their sleep. Dreams provided the artist with a rich visual reserve that was expressed through sleepy and dreamy figures that have childlike appearance.
Hossam has participated in different group exhibitions including exhibitions in Alexandria University, Youth Salon in 2017, Agenda exhibition in 2018, World Youth Forum, Cairo Salon in its 56th round, First time exhibition at Alexandria Bibliotheca in 2021. He participated in Dumyat University symposium for stone sculptures in 2017, Sinai International Festival for Sculpture in 2018 and Bennile ostraka for youth in 2019.
