Hany Mgaly Elfiki is an Egyptian artist born in Assiut in 1978. He has his doctorate degree on the subject of Installation art and his Masters degree on the subject of Wood Art.
Elfiki is influenced by his study and work in the Faculty of Art Education in the creative utilization and experimentation in using different materials. His work incorporates ingenious solutions in the usage of wood and other materials. The materials used are from the artist’s natural environment and the elements pertain to his character and spontaneity. His work emphasizes the relationship between the artist and elements in nature to achieve sustainability.
Elfiki has been part of many solo and group exhibitions. He participated in the Youth Salon and the General exhibition in Egypt. He has also participated in the Agenda exhibition in Alexandria. His work is among permanent collections locally and internationally, and is also exhibited in the Museum of Modern Egyptian Art and The Cairo Opera House.
