While rising artist Engie Ezeldin is still exploring the direction of her future work, what unites her various pursuits in painting, illustration, and photography is an overarching attention to careful detail and precision. Her works are influenced by the culture she grew up in and her trials of changing what’s traditional into something more contemporary. Textile art, pattern, as well as geometric elements, are a recurring theme in her body of work.
Ezeldin is a recent graduate from Parsons The School of Design with a degree in Fine Arts. Her time attending school in New York proved formative as it exposed her to how powerful art can be. The years to come will reveal how these influences and Ezeldin’s varied themes will evolve in her work.
