Alexandria-born painter Emad Abdel Wahab graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in 1998 and studied art at the Rome Academy of Fine Arts, graduating in 2002. He holds a diploma in restoration from the International Institute for Restoration in Rome (2004), a Masters' degree in painting restoration from the Alexandria Faculty of Fine Arts (2006) and a PhD in Philosophy of Fine Art from the Faculty of Fine Arts (2014). Abdel Wahab is a lecturer at the Higher Institute of Applied Arts in 6 October City, Cairo, and he has held artist residencies in Beijing, Bonne, Perugia and Rome. He is the recipient of several Egyptian and international art awards and has represented Egypt at several international art exhibitions and festivals.
His artwork is part of permanent collections at Cairo International Airport, the Egyptian Art Academy in Rome, Alexandria's Museum of Mohamed Rashid Art, the Foundation of Persian Arts Heritage and Contemporary Arts and the University of Perugia in Italy, among others.
