Seeing her art as valuable for the experience it provides the viewer, Anne Marie Elghoneimi aims to uphold a sense of freshness and spontaneity throughout her oeuvre. Channeling the themes and traditions of the Egyptian culture with which she has fallen in love, Elghoneimi hopes that her art inspires the imagination of others.
Elghoneimi arrived in Egypt more than four decades ago to teach French literature, however she became so enamored with the country and its culture that she never left. She maintains an active practice as an artist and prefers to work in the medium of acrylic.
