Born in Alexandira in 1969, Aliaa El Gready Studied history alongside her art studies in Alexandria Atelier under the supervision of artist Farouk Wahbah, which explains the thread that links Aliaa's wide range of work; it combines her interest in both art and history.

El Gready started out as an installation artist using different media, video installation and painting to jewellery making. In the start of the century, Aliaa focused on community art and she co-founded "Gudran for Art and Development" alongside her work on jewellery design and theater acting.

Most recently, Aliaa has been experimenting with different styles and techniques of painting. She explores the accumulative effect of time on nature through patterns, colours and texture. She exhibited her work in Egypt, Italy, Germany, Spain, Sweden, France, USA, Jordan and Senegal.
