Artist and illustrator Aliaa Bassiouni has made a name for herself with her striking compositional style. Able to play between techniques and styles, Bassiouni is a remarkably versatile artist whose acclaim is sure only to rise in the future.
Born in Egypt 1991, Bassiouni earned her BA from Faculty of Fine Arts at Helwan University in 2014. Currently she serves as an Assistant Teacher within the Arts department of the American University in Cairo. She has participated in numerous exhibitions like The Youth Salon 29; Mohamed Abla’s moving image competition at Cairo Opera House; and the “Lost, Found, Eternal” exhibition. Her work has also been featured in The Lifestyle Journal (2017) and Zambalita (2014 and 2015, respectively).
