Amid a thriving career that began when he filmed video using a mobile phone to record daily life in Alexandria, artist Ahmed Nabil has cultivated the skill to create sculptural works that depict humanity in a state of contemporary abstraction. His art explores the ability of color to control the apparent qualities of the material, so that the color is the texture instead of the surface of the material.

Born in Alexandria, Egypt in 1994, Nabil graduated from the Department of General Sculpture of the Faculty of Fine Art of Alexandria University in 2017. He has enjoyed the showcase of his work in a variety of venues in recent years.
