Ahmed Hassanein is an Alexandrian artist born in 1976. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Alexandria University in 2000. He is currently the director of the Mahmoud Said Museum complex in Alexandria. Hassanein has been active in the fine art scene since 1996 by participating in many group exhibitions and has many international and private participations.
His work embodies the strength of man’s presence in the universe. In his artwork, the dominance of man in the scene is apparent with a metaphysical and a magically realistic perspective, where man is the ruler of the universe from transient civilizations.
