Ahmed El Kutt's fascination with the figure and with pattern has helped him to define a unique visual aesthetic that reflects the metamorphosis of his development as an artist. Often pairing soft washes of colour with neatly defined and overlaid pattern, El Kutt’s paintings recall a blurry photograph in that they leave the viewer guessing as to the scene at hand. .
El Kutt is a graduate of Helwan University's Faculty of Fine Arts, he has participated in more than 15 local and international exhibitions. Despite his young age, he has been awarded many prestigious awards including, the Salon Prize in Drawing at the 22nd Salon of Youth and the Martyr Ziad Bakir Prize in Painting the following year.
