Using vibrant colours to conjure expressive and abstract compositions that echo the ideals of twentieth-century Cubism, Adham Badawi brings an invigorated energy to each work he conjures. As an artist, he always looks for the link between the past and present, the acquired and the habit, and reformulating it into his artworks with a contemporary vision. As a result, traditional views take on new meaning in his dynamic and colourful oeuvre.
Born in Sohag in 1988, Badawi graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Luxor in 2010. His paintings have been featured in exhibitions around Egypt, including the Fourth Graffiti Festival at the Mahmoud Mokhtar Museum and the Luxor International Forum of Painting.
